The Daycare Teacher is responsible for:
- Providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children.
- The teacher plans and implements age-appropriate educational, physical, and cognitive development while maintaining a warm and supportive classroom atmosphere
- Create and maintain a safe, clean, and engaging learning environment
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans and daily activities
- Supervise children at all times to ensure safety and well-being
- Support children's emotional, social, and behavioral development
- Encourage positive interactions and model appropriate behavior
- Observe, document, and assess children's progress and development
- Communicate regularly and professionally with parents/guardians
- Assist with daily routines, including meals, toileting/diapering, and rest time
- Maintain accurate attendance and developmental records
- Follow all daycare policies, licensing regulations, and health and safety standards
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support classroom goals
